Poor Assembly Environment Quality: An unclean assembly environment can directly lead to contamination with impurities. It is strongly recommended that all assembly operations be conducted in a well-controlled, dust-free environment.

Machining Residue on Fitting Parts: Machined parts may retain burrs and impurities. If cleaning is not thorough, these tiny residues can adhere to parts and impact performance.

Improproper Use of Tools: When handling parts with tools such as air guns, careless operation could cause impurities to be splattered onto the assembly table or other already-assembled components. It is advised to use such tools in a designated clean area.

Grease Contamination: Impurities can enter the device through the grease used. Ensure the quality of the grease and carry out regular checks and replacements.

Assembler-Carried Contaminants: During assembly, operators must keep their hands clean or use rubber gloves to prevent contaminants and greases on the hands from entering the device.

Environmental Temperature Control Facilities: When using temperature control equipment like fans, be aware that the equipment may suck in dust, indirectly leading to the entry of impurities. Choosing a suitable environmental temperature control strategy is crucial.

Use of Sealants or Adhesives: Thread locking adhesives or gasket sealants are also potential sources of contamination. Check beforehand if they might be sources of impurities.

Through thorough inspections and optimization of the above aspects, the possibility of impurities entering the harmonic reducer can be significantly reduced, thus enhancing the overall reliability and performance of the equipment.







 


The harmonic reducer is prone to wear and failure during use, resulting in reduced accuracy. The following are some tips that the harmonic reducer needs to be paid attention to in daily use to help extend the service life.
1. Generally speaking, for the harmonic reducer with a long continuous operation time, the standard is to replace the new oil for 5000 hours or once a year, stop the operation for a long time, and replace the new grease before starting the operation. When changing the oil, the same oil as the original factory should be added, and it should not be mixed with different brands of oil, but it is allowed to mix and use oil with the same trademark and different viscosity;
2. When replacing the grease, the harmonic reducer should be cooled when the power is off, and there is no risk of burning, but it should be replaced when it is still warm, because when the oil temperature is completely cooled, the oil viscosity increases and it is difficult to drain the oil.

 

3. During the operation, it is found that the temperature rise exceeds 80 degrees C. In addition to abnormal noise and other phenomena, it should also be stopped to find out the cause and eliminate the fault. After replacing the grease, it can continue to work;
